Lily’s 1 Week Old!

Lily is 1 week old today!!!  Here is a recap of Lily’s 1st week of adventures!

Day 1: Lily was born on June 8, 2012 at 7:30am, weighing 6lbs 8 oz, and measures 19 inches long!  Below is a picture of her when she was only 14 minutes old, look at though red luscious lips!  The second picture is of her on her mama (me!) for her second skin to skin time!  She slept most of the day and eat on schedule, and was passed around by many family members who love and adore her!

Day 2: She was pampered some more at the hospital.  She had her hearing screening and passed with flying colors and she was the life of the party whenever visitors came, even though she was sleeping the whole time!  She’s such a sweet angel and slept and ate when she’s suppose to, and continued to warm our hearts with her presence!

Day 3:  Lily got to go home today!  We put on her first outfit today, a cute pink onesie and some maryjane socks, and she was ready to go!  She had her first car ride experience and rode home in style with some sunglasses that her auntie Jennifer and uncle Andy gave her!  We made 1 stop on the way home to visit her great grandfather!  We got more visitors at home, and she was champ and renamed sleeping for the most part and occasionally dazzling everyone when she opened her eyes!

Day 4: Today she started off the day by wishing her grandma a happy birthday!!  Lily slept, ate and poop like usual!  This was the first night where she stayed up a little longer than usual, so her daddy didn’t have AS much sleep as usual, but for the most part, she’s still really good with eating and sleeping like usual!  We are lucky she’s so calm and easy going, for now (knock on wood), lets hope this lasts for awhile!  My Recovery: I lost 11 pounds from giving birth to Lily and having 4 days gone by, my physical recovery is coming along smoothly, mentally I’m still trying to adjust to this great new change in our life, but I think I’m doing well.  I still walk pretty slowly to be careful and such, and I’m trying my best to stay off my feet, but it sure is hard to do!

Day 5: Today was suppose to be Lily’s due date!  I can’t believe she’s already been with us for 5 days now!!  Our life changed so much i5 days ago, and we cannot be more happier!!  Lily had a short session of tummy time and did great!  Her neck is already so strong as it, it’s quite surprising.  Every time we try to burp her, she already is able to lift her head back, amazing!  Lily got her first bath at home today given by her grandma and daddy!  After her bath, we put her in a cute outfit given to her from aunty Sarah!  I like the picture below in her pink outfit because it looks like she’s ready to fight, “Put ’em up!”  What a tough baby!  My Recovery: I lost a total of 13 pounds now, and each day, I physically feel better, but I’m getting tired despite having a good amount of sleep.  That’s expected though, but mentally, I have high spirits and I really have to thank Khoa and Lily for that, for making me feel loved and special every day.

Day 6: Lily had her second car ride today and that’s to go to her first check up with her Pediatrician!  She weighed 6lbs 7oz, so just 1 oz from her start weight!  She’s a healthy baby girl, and passed her first check up with flying colors!  Later she also got a play date with Charlotte!  Zoey came by after too!  Lily continues to sleep and seat on schedule, what a good baby!

Day 7: Lily’s umbilical cord fell off on this day!  She had a great time sleeping, eating and pooping like usual!  She’s such a sweet angel that her family will continue to come and visit her even though all she does is sleep!  My Recovery:  Today I am back at my start weight, crazy right?  But my belly still has some deflating to do, unless that’s how it was before…it’s been so long I can’t remember.  Haha!  Either way, I’m feeling a little better physically each day, and mentally I’m still doing well thanks to my supportive family!  I feel super lucky and blessed to have such a happy environment, I cannot be in better hands.

Happy 1 Week Lily!!! – Today our precious little Lily pad is 1 week old!  I cannot believe how fast time flew by and that she’s already been gracing us with her presence and love for a week already!  As new parents, we feel great and not run down, so we are truly lucky.  Lily is such a calm baby so far, and so sweet and cute in all her ways.  Her little coos and tiny toes, her silly smirks and funny burps, her sparkling eyes and cute puckering lips, just warms my heart!  Enjoy these pictures of her 1 week of life, taken by her mommy with the help of her daddy and auntie Jennifer!
