We went to see Spy in Disguise in the movie theaters. Lily says “I laughed so hard I farted!” Hahahaha

We were going home from dinner and Lily saw the ampm sign and asked what that is.
Mommy: It’s a store. It’s am and pm like time morning and night.
Lily: Oh and the colors is like time too, am is yellow and orange like morning daytime and the pm is like nighttime colors (blue and purple).

My mind was blown!! I never even thought of that!! You are so smart Lily!!!!

Lily: Mommy I am so grateful for you, you know why?
Me: Aww! No why?
Lily: Because you take me to gymnastics and all the things I want to do and you work so hard to take care of me and Leo and I love you so much!! You are the best mommy ever!!!

Lily: Mommy when can we visit your work again?
Mommy: I don’t work there anymore remember?
Lily: Oh yea I forgot. At least you get to rest then?
Mommy: awww yea that’s nice but I need a job soon so we can have money.
Lily: You can have my money.
Awwwwww my sweet Lily pad! Your sweet heart makes mine melt.

I loaded the trunk and back seats with a bunch of large garbage bags full of recycled cans and bottles and Lily gets into the car.
Lily: Whoa! Ew it’s smells in here.
Mommy: Yea it’s from all the recycle cans.
Lily: I’m going to write about this in my writing journal today.
Hahahaha! What a character!

Lily got star student if the week, the first one in her class! Her teacher told me that after her presentation of the baby signing books, she then told the class to break up into small groups and try to speak to each other in asl using the flash cards! And her teacher said that was perfect and wonderful haha! Oh Lily you already make a great teacher!!

I came to pick Lily up from fun club one day and she was reading a book to the whole class. After she was done and we were walking back to the car, I said she did a great job and asked if kids take turn reading to the class. She tells me that they just came inside from outside and everyone was hit and Ms Liz said they need to settle down so Lily asked if she can read the class a book so everyone can cool down and settle down! Wow… you are way beyond your years my precious Lily pad!!

Lily was finishing up her dinner while I was in the living room starting to fold the laundry. Lily comes over and sees me working and says “Mommy, when I’m done, can I help you? That’s a lot of clothes!” Awwwww, my sweet baby girl!!! How did I get so lucky??

Lily: Mommy, when I go to finish elementary school, I want you to be my teacher.
Me: Why? There’s a lot of good teachers at the schools you’ll be going to.
Lily: I know but I want you to be my teacher!
Me: Awww that’s really nice Lily but mommy doesn’t know how to be a teacher.
Lily: Yes you do, you know how to do everything!
She melts my heart!!! I’m completely humbled by her!!

I taught Lily how to shower all by herself and today I’m waiting in the bathroom as Lily is showering and very loudly she says “I’m learning from the very best mommy ever!!!!” She melts my soul!!

I was working on Lily’s Wonder Woman shield while Lily was watching me and I had a ref pic on my phone and Lily asks “Does that picture tell you how to make it?”
Mommy: No it doesn’t
Lily: How do you know what to do?
Mommy: I just look at the picture and try to make it look like the picture
Lily: The picture doesn’t show you anything?
Mommy: No it doesn’t
Lily: (very excitedly) Mommy! You’re a teacher!
Mommy: Uh.. what do you mean?
Lily: Because you know how to make everything so good! (She gives me a big hug) I love you Mommy!!
Awwwwww she makes my heart melt!!!

[August 2017]
I’m teaching Lily how to sew and I give her the thimble and tell her that it’s to protect her thumb from the needle. Lily then says “I’ll be careful, I won’t poke myself with the needle, I don’t want to wear the finger bucket” haha!!

Lily: (picked her up from school and she showed me her art work) This is my superhero! She has head phones on and flower in her hair and a cape, she’s my superhero!
Mommy: Wow, cool! What super powers does she have?
Lily: ummm…all the super powers!
Mommy: Like what?
Lily: Ice cream!
Mommy: What does she do with the ice cream?
Lily: She throws it in their face!
Mommy: But what if they open their mouth and eat the ice cream (imitates eating the ice cream, mhmmm!)
Lily: (cracks up) Nooo!! It’s fake ice cream!!
Mommy: Ohhh, so you trick them! Clever girl!!

Lily: (In Hawaii driving around) the trees are flat because people lay on them. Hello tree!

Lily: My flower is my mommy! I love it so much! (talking about her plumaria flower hair clip haha)

Lily: (window shopping and I got a dress for Lily and then I said let’s go back to the hotel.) Do you want anything? Do you want a dress? I can pick out a dress for you. (so sweet!)

Mommy: Hey Lily look, that’s a scooter! (points at a scooter that drive by).
Lily: hahaha scooter…hahaha wait…what?
hahaha!

Lily: I ate myself (imitates eating noise). Do you see Lily anywhere? I ate myself! (she continues to laugh and crack herself up haha).

We returned the rental car from by the Honolulu airport. Lily looks at the car and goes “No more hula car, bye hula car!”

[June-July 2016]
Lily want to do something after school so I told her we will if there’s time and she responded with: “Look on the phone if there’s time.”
Haha so smart Lily!

Something spilled and Lily said, “It’s bc daddy didn’t close it tight, next time tell daddy to close it tight so it doesn’t fall everywhere.”

I was driving Lily to school and Lily was looking at the clouds and said “Mommy! The clouds are moving, they are making something.”
Mommy: What are they making?
Lily: Whatever they want to make!

I wanna brush my teeth all by myself.
I can help you.
But your back hurts. (Referring to when I fell down the stairs and hurt my back, she’s so sweet and caring!)

I took Lily to see the Little Mermaid Musical and Lily was rushing to get inside to her seat and kept saying she didn’t want to miss the show. I told her that we have plenty of time and we won’t miss it. Lily then had to use the restroom but kept stalling and getting distracted so I told her to hurry or we will be late. Lily responds with “But you said we not going to miss the show!” You got me there Lily, too smart for your own good! Haha!

I’m driving and the road is a little bumpy and Lily has a drink from Starbucks (strawberry green tea).
Lily: Be careful for my drink Mommy, it’s a little bouncy

Lily: I know everything I know.
That is very correct haha.

Lily: You can try to open the Gatorade if you want just like I opened my water bottle at school all by myself. I will open the door [to the fridge] for you. Here mama you can try to open it now.

I’m laying with Lily in her bed to put her to sleep and Leo is in his crib but he’s making some noises. Lily turns to me after a few mins of trying to sleep and says “Mommy can you tell Leo ‘your sister says I know you’re excited but your sister is trying to sleep’ can you tell him that?” So I go and tell Leo that and he actually settles down and and Lily asks me if I told him and I said I did. Both kids fell asleep within mins after that!! Amazing!! =)

Lily and I are watching the Minions movie and Kevin got into the machine to make him a giant and Lily says
“Ahh he’s getting bigger and bigger and bigger, much bigger than that, huger!!”
Haha!!

So Lily’s been asking what day it is cause she knows her bday is in June and I keep telling her it’s not her bday yet, so just she said “mommy you know at school we sing a song called We Never Stop Learning” and so I asked her to sing it for me and she said “maybe in June” and I said what? That’s so far, why not now? And she said “no, maybe later.” What a tease!

I’m having dinner with Lily, she requested fish, so I take her to eat fish. She’s eating super slow, and hardly eating anything. She then complains saying her mouth (inside of her left cheek) hurts, so I tell her to eat on the other side of her mouth. She continues to eat super slow and whines a bit, and said she’s done eating. So I tell her that if she’s done, then that’s it, no snacks or candy after this. So she says ok, but then a minute later she says “mommy, actually I want ice cream.” So I said “what did I just say? You didn’t finish your food so no snacks or ice cream, unless you finish your fish.” Shes for a minute and then says “mommy, it seems like my mouth doesn’t hurt anymore.” (wow…this girl…haha) She starts chowing down her food and then asks for ice cream haha.

I’m feeding Leo with my left hand and eating with my right hand, but then I’m watching Lily eat her lunch at the same time. Lily notices me watching her and says this.
Lily: Oh I didn’t know you’re there! (meaning she didn’t know I was watching her)
Mommy: Where am I suppose to be?
Lily: You have to focus on feeding Leo!
So smart Lily!!

I’m about to cut some strawberries for Lily.
Mommy: How many strawberries do you want?
Lily: 4!
Mommy: Ok 4.
Lily: And then when I finish 4, I want more!
Mommy: Ok, when you finish all 4, we will see if you want more.
Lily: If you say so…(has a silly smirk on her face)
hahaha! This kid is so sassy!

Lily: Bye Leo, have a nice day with Mommy! (Lily gives Leo a kiss! Lily then goes to the stairs.) Bye mommy I love you!
Mommy: I love you too Lily!
Lily: Oh let me give you a kiss! (She comes over to give me a kiss and then runs back to the stairs). Bye mommy! (Blows me a kiss!)
Mommy: Thank you so much Lily!
Lily: (She starts to walk down the stairs but then stops and says) Oh thank you mommy for watching me when Daddy come to get me!
She’s the sweetest and so polite too!

I later have her help me finish the border of the cake and as she walks away when we were all done, she turns back to me and says “Mommy that was so fun!” Yay!!

Lily: Daddy don’t say you need to go to sleep ok daddy? (she points her finger at him and everything)
Daddy: Why Lily?
Lily: Because I can do it all by myself, I can close my eyes all by myself. I don’t need you to tell me ok daddy?

A kid pulls on a tablecloth and spills all this stuff onto the ground. Lily gets up and says “It’s ok, I’ll clean it up!” She jumps to her feet and takes her magic wand and points at the mess and goes “Presto!” Haha so cute! If only it was that easy!

In the morning Lily runs into my room and says “Mommy I’m not at Sea World”
Mommy: No Lily you’re not.
Lily: I want to go to Sea World. Are we going to Sea World today?
Mommy: No Lily we aren’t, why do you want to go to Sea World?
Lily: I want to see the animals. I’m not at Sea World right now, can we go please?
So hard to say no but we don’t have the time or money to just go on a whim, sorry lily!

Lily’s eating a little sample yogurt during the drive home that evening. She calls yogurt “ice cream” sometimes.
Lily: Daddy, you need to drive really really slow, I don’t want to drop my ice cream.
Daddy: Haha ok Lily!

Lily: Daddy! I said to drive slowly!!

I previously cut my nail with a knife while trying to slice up an acorn squash for dinner and Lily saw me put a bandaid on. She asked me what happened with my ouchie and I told her. Later she tells me this while walking up the stairs to go to bed.
Lily: Mommy, I want you to be careful and not cut your nail. Maybe you will feel better if you tell your mommy and daddy?
hahaha, she’s so cute! A few days later she sees me chopping again for dinner and she tells me “Mommy, be careful, don’t cut your nail ok?”

We are walking out of dinner at Garden Walk and I point to the lights at another restaurant.
Mommy: Lily look at the lights, aren’t they pretty?
Lily: Yes they are. Look! (points at some torches at another restaurant) Fire! I have to be careful so I don’t burn myself.

She’s eating a lollipop and then hands it to me.
Lily: Mommy I’m all done with my lollipop. Can I drink my apple juice? I will finish my lollipop tomorrow.

Lily was watching Wreck It Ralph and it was the part where Ralph wrecks Glitche’s car. Lily looks really sad and goes “that’s very sad.” I said “Yea he broke her car. It’s sad huh?” Lily, “Yea.” So sweet and sensitive Lily.

Lily puts on Leo’s bib all by herself and I start to feed Leo. Lily hands me another bib and says “Mommy let me know if you need another napkin ok?”

Lily: Mommy you’re the best!
Mommy: You’re the best Lily.
Lily: No you’re the best first!

Lily: Mommy I’m very tired. Are you tired too?
Mommy: Yea it’s bedtime, do you want mommy to take you to bed?
Lily: Ok, after I eat my egg whites first.
Oh Lily haha.

Lily wanted chicken nuggets at McDonalds and so we bought her a 4 piece and let her eat it in the car while we drive to dinner. However she only ate 1.5 pieces. I told her if she doesn’t finish then we won’t buy her any more chicken nuggets. So she refused to finish. We got to the restaurant and I told her I’m very upset with her for not finishing her food. So she said she’s sorry. I asked her why she’s sorry and she said she’s sorry for not finishing her chicken nuggets. Maybe 15 minutes later while sitting at the table waiting for our food, Lily suddenly says “sorry mommy about earlier for not finishing my chicken nuggets”. Awww she’s so sweet! Then right before she went up to bed, she was saying goodnight to me and says “Sorry mommy about not eating my chicken nuggets” and gave me a high 5 and blew me kisses!! How can you stay mad at that sweet baby girl?!

Lily opens up a Marie Claire magazine and points to a random lady and tells me “Mommy look, it’s beautiful!” She then points to an advertisement for some necklaces and then says “Look mommy!”
Mommy: Those are pretty huh? What color do you like?
Lily: I want the blue one. Can you buy it for me?
Mommy: I don’t know where to buy them.
Lily: Um, you can buy it at the supermarket!
Hahaha.

I’m changing Leo’s diaper and he pees.
Lily: Oh no, that’s why you have to wipe yourself.
Mommy: It’s ok Lily, Leo can’t wipe himself yet so mommy had to do it for him.
Lily: Oh I can do it for him too!
Such a sweetie pie!

Lily: I have sandals and mommy and daddy have sandals too.
Mommy: What about Leo?
Lily: No
Mommy: Does Leo need sandals?
Lily: Nooo! Haha
Mommy: Why not? We all have sandals except for Leo.
Lily: Oh I can buy him some!

We went to the Orange Mall to take Lily to see the pets but when we got there it was closed.
Mommy: Sorry Lily the store is closed, we can’t see the pets.
Lily: Oh maybe we can ask the teachers to help us?
Mommy: Oh sorry Lily but the teachers can’t help us here.
Lily: What about in aftercare?
Haha too smart Lily!

Leaving Target and the automatic door opens for us.
Lily: Thank you door!
We walk a few feet away.
Lily: Bye door!

Lily was sitting in her chair at her desk and she has a funny look on her face and then suddenly she says “I have to pee!” and starts running to the bathroom. After she pees she runs out and says “Mommy I poo pooed!”
Mommy: Good job Lily!
Lily: Thanks! Now I can start playing!
She goes to her desk and starts playing with her toy she got from a MCD’s happy meal, that’s a Joker car from Batman that shoots out a stick. She shoots it into Leo’s swing chair and she said “YAY perfect!!”

In the car with Lily in the back, talking to Jacqueline on speakerphone. Jackie tells me a few things to pick up at the store, including toothpicks.
When we get home, Lily walks over to the drawer, opens it, pulls out the container of toothpicks and says “Look mommy, toothpicks! See mommy? We don’t need anymore toothpicks.”

I’m going up the stairs with Lily and she passes by one of her Christmas tree drawings in the wall.
Lily: Mommy that’s my Christmas tree, isn’t it beautiful?
Me: Awww yes baby it is!

I was sitting on the couch and lifted my shirt up to watch my belly move from Leo’s kicking. Lily was excited to see him move my belly and started cracking up! She even put her hand on my belly to feel him. After a few minutes, she gets off the couch and tells me “Mommy put your shirt down” and walks off.

Lily places her snickers ice cream bar on my lap so she can drink some water, but before she drinks her water she tells me “Mommy, don’t eat my ice cream ok?”

Lily: Mommy, I’m going to take a bath, wait for me, after I finish, I want to watch you shower. Wait for me ok? (When she says she wants to watch me shower, she means be in the bathroom with me and watch shows on her ipad while I take a shower…haha)

Lily:  Mommy are you happy?
Me: Yes I am!  Are you?
Lily: Mommy’s happy, so I’m happy too!

Lily: I want to sleep in mommy’s bed.
Me: OK where can mommy sleep?
Lily: In mommy’s bed.
Me: Where will daddy sleep?
Lily: Downstairs on the couch.

Me: Goodnight Lily, I love you!
Lily: I love you too mommy!
Me (points to my belly) Say goodnight to your baby brother.
Lily: (looking serious) Mommy, that’s not a baby, that’s your belly! (and walks off.)

Me: Yes that is the moon!
Lily: There’s cheese on the moon!
